A Wild Cincinnati Zoo Festival of Lights Engagement Session

This session was as bright and fun and crazy as the couple we were photographing. We met Caroline and Andrew a while back, at Dakota and Billy’s wedding– where these two tore it up on the dance floor. As you can see here:

They live in New York, but were in town around Christmas so we got to hit up their first date spot… the Festival of Lights!

I was a little nervous shooting here because as any Cincinnatian knows … it can get a little packed and crazy but I loved taking photos there so much– it was amazing! These two made it easy by being quick, fun, and flexible to work with! 

like i said… it was a little busy

These photos are just so classic Christmas, I love this tone of the lights, the trees, and the sky. 

I really love how we got some shots that look like they could have been anywhere. 

And then some shots that could not have been taken anywhere else. This Festival of Lights engagement session felt truly one of a kind, I just loved working with these crazy lights and situations. 

These last few photos of the night were SUCH a blast, just one little twirl and we were out of there! I can not wait to work with these two on their wedding day! And may I give a little encouragement for anyone thinking of doing a Festival of Lights engagement session? Yes, yes 1,000 times yes. Let’s do it.
