Sarah and Michael’s day was such a joy to document. These two are just the sweetest, and we loved getting to know the two of them, their families and friends.
Here is the video we made from their day:
Sarah’s grandma was so amazing to watch her to work– sewing her granddaughter into her dress!
Cheese, Cheese-Its, and all sorts of cheese related things became a staple of the day.
The Monastery is one of our favorite venues to work with, because of how gorgeous of a space it is, and how easy it is to get different portraits within one location!
Then this happened… seriously one of my favorite things of 2017… We always try to get to this church’s overlook for nighttime portraits when we shoot at the Monastery. Little did we know that this night was the church’s biggest festival of the year! We had so much fun sneaking through the festival, picking up some amazing hats along the way.
I’m so excited to share photos from this amazing weekend! We’ve known Mel for a long time, and this weekend made it super clear that Michael is seriously perfect for her sweet, hilarious spirit. These two met through their mutual love of climbing, and they both love climbing at Red River Gorge… their wedding weekend did such a great job reflecting their love for this beautiful place.
Mel and her dad have the sweetest relationship. On the morning of her wedding day, Mel went running with her dad– isn’t that the sweetest?
This ceremony was one of those where I spent some solid time wiping tears away from behind the camera. Just look at the way these two look at eachother! There is so much love in these relationships, it was such an absolute joy to caputure.
We got some of the best fall colors on this October day! I love the way the treeline looks here!
I feel like these photos really capture who Mel and Michael are together. I asked them to walk ahead of me to get some walking photos– I gave them a little direction, “look at eachother, walk slowly back towards me, relax” and before I knew it they were literally sprinting, jumping, smiling wider than I’ve ever seen.
Red River Wedding Barn was such a gorgeous venue with so many great spaces!
After a few great speaches…
…and a great cake smash…
it was time to DANCE.
Mel and Michael– if your wedding day is any indication of your marriage, you two are headed for a really fun and really beautiful life together. We loved being a part of your day, and editing these photos was such a joy for me. The way you two look at eachother is just amazing, and is such a great reminder of what love looks like.
Special thanks to Michael Marcagi for helping us out at this wedding! And to Pete and Jeff for helping make our weekend perfect.
