Travel Photography | Switzerland
Finally getting around to blogging about Switzerland! This was probably my favorite part of our European trip last year… although it is hard to pick when Italy is filled with pasta and scenes like this.
But Switzerland just smelled good and felt good. The air was clean, the water was cold and clean, and everything was organized and everyone was nice. Anyways, I digress. After the most beautiful train ride of my life from Florence to Bern, we hopped on a tiny train to Neuchatel, a town in northern Switzerland. The craziest thing about this train ride was the languages and the people! We went from French to Dutch to German all in one train ride!
Here are some shots from Neuchatel:
One of the main reasons we wanted to go to Neuchatel is that it was the start of the Swiss Reformation and there is some super cool history! This is William Farel’s church, which is perched on top of a giant hill that overlooks the entire city.
The rest of our time in this city was just insanely charming.
After Neuchatel, we headed to Geneva for the most expensive leg of our trip, where a slice of pizza costs $20. Luckily we planned ahead and went grocery shopping and ate by the lake every night, along with basically everyone else who isn’t a millionaire.
After Geneva we headed down to Chamonix, France to do some sweet hiking! Again, this town was something that was basically straight out of a postcard.
We spent the day taking terrifying lifts and doing some amazing hiking up to Lac Blanc.
After our insnane hike, we stopped by the local market to get wine and cheese and salami and then reviewed drone footage while snacking.
