Lauren and Chris | A Modern Hotel Covington Wedding
I’m so excited to finally have the time to share this modern Hotel Covington Wedding day! Chris and Lauren had such a cool, cohesive, classic, vision for their day and I love how everything came together for them. Hotel Covington is one of our favorite venues for a lot of reasons, namely because it’s such a unique space for a wedding and leaves so much room for creative photos and fun evenings! So let’s get into it, first off Lauren and her girls got ready in a hotel suite, which is a perfect spot with great light and textures.
Has this not the motto for all of us in 2020? Keep your shit together.
Every bride wants a full round of applause for their first look moment. Once these two got to hang out for a few minutes, we were onto portrait time! The Hotel Covington lobby is always an amazing spot for couple’s portraits and some group photos if there’s room.
Classic Cincinnati, perfect colors, amazing architecture, Music Hall is always a slam dunk location for group photos.
After the portraits, it was time for a wedding!

Lauren and Chris’ first dance as a married couple was so much fun, and truly felt like an awesome moment where the two of them could just be themselves!
As you can tell, Chris had a very special “mother of the groom” dance, featuring lots of lovely women in his life. And there was not a dry eye in the house… including me as you can tell by the photo Corey lovingly snagged. In all honesty, it’s pretty rare for me to make it through a wedding day without shedding a tear behind the camera. This day in particular had me wiping some tears from behind the lens.
I absolutely love it when couples trust us with some sunset photos. I know it’s precious dancing time that you’re sacrificing, and do not take that lightly at all! But I love having the chance to capture some more relaxed portraits at the end of the night that has a totally different vibe from the day. We’ve photographed at Hotel Covington a lot before and have never noticed this spot before– I’m glad we did for Lauren and Chris 🙂
