Battle of the Bands

Battle of the Bands is something near and dear to our hearts. Corey is lucky enough to teach at the High School we both attended. And while we were there, he went to and played at the Battle of the Bands every year, when we graduated and went away it died for a few years and when he got hired at Anderson, he was able to resurrect it with other teachers!

This event is so interesting to me becasuse it’s a cool mash up of High School kids being really bold and vulnerable and also just going crazy. It’s fun, it’s good and it’s a cool thing to watch grow year after year.

Every year, I bring my camera and probably take 10 photos becuase it’s such a crazy night and I’m usually helping wrap cords or take tickets, etc. This year I tried to be way more intentional with taking photos and finding some small moments in the maddness.
